Customer Review: Good alternative to Wustof Classic

I ordered the Emeril Pro 4-1/2" utility knife because it appears to be identical to the Classic, but at lower cost. It came in a box marked Classic Icon. It looks like the Classic except for a micarta handle. I also have an 8" Classic cook's knife. The Emeril knife is made of the same steel, has the same heft (I gave an ex-wife a Classic 4-1/2" utility knife a couple of Christmases ago). The only differences I can discern are a) the micarta handle is slightly rough where shaped, and b) the handle fit has a very small gap on one side that appears to be filled with epoxy.
It appears that the Emeril line is a great value if you don't need the cachet of the Classic line.
