Customer Review: Wüsthof Classic knives are superior

Wüsthof makes several different knife lines but I prefer the classics. Personally, I've been using the Wüsthof Classics for over 20 years. These knives are made in Soligen Germany in the same factory that produces F. Dick knives.
Both the knife and fork have a full tang and are milled from a single piece of stainless steel. The handles are made from a really hard plastic resin that lasts forever. I'm so used to the shape of the handles that I find it difficult to use other brands. The carving knife is a perfect size for its task and the fork compliments it nicely.
If you want your Wüsthof knives to last, hand wash them and dry them quickly. The knife holds a sharp edge and the fork is much better than other brands. The case is nice to have but I don't use it.
If you're giving these as a gift, the recipient will be thanking you for years.

The sturdy and heavy 6-inch carving fork holds a hefty rib-eye steak or roasted turkey breast with ease and the superior 8-inch blade delivers either thick and juicy or paper-thin slices with ease.
Part of Wüsthof?s popular Classic line of cutlery, this knife and fork have a very traditional design. The knife?s blade is hand-forged from high-carbon stain-resistant steel so it retains its sharp edges longer and is easier to resharpen. The blade is also ground and polished by computer to ensure perfect tapering from tip to bolster. A signature feature of Wüsthof knives, the weighted bolster gives this knife the perfect heft. For balance, full tangs extend through the synthetic handles on both the knife and carving fork and are triple-riveted for strength. --Cristina Vaamonde
