This sharpener is caveman simple. Everything is clearly labeled. Don't even need the printed instruction sheet, just a secure flat surface, this sharpener, and something that's supposed to eventually have an edge. I just got an S&W knife off Amazon. Arrived with no edge at all. Barely a rough bevel. So I got this, and it took me less than 5 minutes to put a razor edge on it. Then less than 5 minutes to sharpen every other knife I have. I never read the directions, because it's got everything labeled clear as anyone could wish. Beats the heck out of my old sharpener.

Description of Wusthof 2 Stage Knife Sharpener

This Wusthof Knife Life Sharpener is a two stage knife sharpener with a built-in scissors sharpener. The carbide side sets your knife's edge, while the ceramic side finishes the edge. The scissors sharpener will sharpen both blades for left- or right-handed scissors at the same time. The E-Z grip handle and non-slip rubber feet helps to keep the sharpener in place and safe to use. The Knife Life Sharpener is for both right and left handed use.
