I've been trying for years to find a replacement for a 20-yr old small bread knife that came with a cheap Farberware knife set. Small bread knifes are perfect for rolls, baguettes, etc., but they are impossible to find! So i was very excited when i saw this one ... the perfect size at 4.5 inches. And it's from a good German manufacturer, so i had high expectations. I was a bit disappointed ... the blade is much thinner than i was expecting, so it feels a bit flimsy. More like a steak knife, less like a serrated bread knife. Don't think i can toss that old, cheap Farberware knife anytime soon ...
