This little thing is amazing. I spent a lot of time with a diamond hone and ceramic "stick" sharpener recently doing our knives, but when tried this out, it was amazing. Shaves the edge down so fast and easy. I still felt a need to finish the edge with the ceramic, but it was plenty sharp before that. Definitely a keeper for me!

This Emerilware design knife sharpener by Wusthof is the simple way to keep knives sharp. Easy draw through design will sharpen your fine edge knives in a hurry. The 2 carbide blades put an edge on the dullest of knives.What does Food Network?s Emeril Lagasse recommend for keeping kitchen knives properly aligned? Why his very own signature knife sharpener, of course. Made by distinguished German knife manufacturer Wüsthof, this sharpener doesn?t substitute for regular professional sharpenings but will maintain knives in between. The ergonomically designed plastic handle is comfortable to hold while steadying the sharpener on a tabletop. You draw your knife through V-shaped carbide blades, which shape the edge a bit on the first few passes and then hone the edge with additional strokes. Emeril himself claims that it only requires a few strokes and "?BAM? your kitchen knives are razor sharp for the best possible performance."
